Q:Why did the Pontiac lead a rebellion against the British? A: Pontiac saw the British settlers as a threat. He didn't like that idea. Q: Why were the French in Pennsylvania? A: They wanted to travel to the land by the Ohio River. Q: Why were the French and the British so tense? A: They were tense because the British were trying to steal the land that the French owned.

French and Indian War Video

The French and Indian War was between the French and the British. I personally would call it the French and British War. I know the Indians sided with the French, but the British should be mentioned. So, the war started when George Washington [ Yes, the George Washington ] attacked a group of Frenchmen in Pennsylvania.
A mini-battle like this was not considered important, but it started the War that Made America. Back to the battle, it ended when the Frenchmen's Indian allies kicked in. Their king, a famous Indian known as The Half-King, killed the British General. The British retreat, and if you want to find out more, listen closely as our group gets on with our presentation.
